Education For All.
The state of education in many areas of Sub-Saharan Africa is dismal! Where education is taken for granted in many areas of the world, it is a privilege in many others. Education Africa exists to bring attention to education needs of children and youth in the region. In partnership with diaspora communities, Education Africa works to elevate, enable, and support these communities in their quest to provide inclusive and quality education for all learners.

Our organization focuses on four core pillars of educational support.

Through these four pillars, Education Africa strives to offer robust and comprehensive solutions to communities in need.

Instructional Materials

We engage our diaspora supporters and partners to collect, sort, and distribute new and gently used educational materials to schools. Items range from books and pencils to small electronics.

Need-based Financial Student Support

We partner with diaspora individuals and/or entities to identify students with the greatest need and arrange financial support for their education. Populations include girls and children with disabilities. Support is limited to primary and secondary education only.

Infrastructure Support

We support education beyond the classroom through partnership with diaspora individuals and/or organizations for construction of new buildings or improvements to existing infrastructure.

Knowledge & Skills Sharing

We partner with individuals and/or organizations in the diaspora to invest in in-service training and education for local teachers and set up peer learning to facilitate knowledge transfer and skill sharing.

Education Access. Equalizing Opportunities.

Education Africa believes that education is the great social equalizer and access to free, high quality schools can level the playing field for disadvantaged and marginalized children and youth in Sub-Saharan Africa. Giving children and youth the chance to go to quality school opens more and better opportunities for them in the future and provides the chance for them to escape the cycle of poverty, improve their personal lives and empower their communities. Educated girls, for example, tend to marry later, have healthier children, are less prone to gender-based violence, earn higher incomes and improve standards of their life.

Schools can also serve as critical protection for children and youth, shielding them from dangerous alternatives such as child labor, child marriage, and other negative options in life facing children and youth of today. Inclusive and quality education can give children and youth critical skills and competencies for the workplace, fueling economic growth and development for all.

Access to inclusive and quality education is essential to sustainable development, equality, stability, peace and the betterment of individuals and the society at large.
